GOP Senator Bill Brady Weighing Bid for Illinois Governor
The Bloomington lawmaker defeated six other candidates in the 2010 Republican primary, but lost the general election to Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn. In his email, Brady says hundreds if not thousands of people have asked him to "finish the job" he started three years ago. He says he will make a final decision on whether to run by June.
Other Republicans considering a bid are state Treasurer Dan Rutherford and Congressman Aaron Schock. State Sen. Kirk Dillard already has announced his candidacy.
