Future Of Little Egypt Festival Topic Of Wednesday Meeting
The continuation of the Little Egypt Festival in Salem will be the subject of a meeting scheduled for next Wednesday evening.Festival Coordinator Dennis Wilkerson says all those interested in helping and keeping the festival are welcome to attend. Wilkerson announced at an earlier meeting involving Salem organizations that the festival may not be able to continue because only two members of the committee were left. He feels too many new events have pulled interest away from the Little Egypt Festival and Parade that celebrated its 41st year last October.
The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Bryan Bennett Library at 6:30 Wednesday evening.
