Four Face New Charges in Marion County CourtA 51-year-old Chicago man had bond set at $100,000 after being charged in Marion County Court on Monday with unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Anthony Thurman is accused of having between one and 15 grams of heroin in his possession. Thurman was arrested after State Police responded to a wreck on Route 37 on Sunday. He was also ticketed for driving under the influence of drugs after admitting to smoking cannabis.
A 26-year-old Olney man also faces a new felony drug charge. Joshua Spivey was arrested for unlawful possession with intent to deliver 30 to 500 grams of cannabis following a weekend traffic stop by Salem Police.
52-year-old Julie Houser of Centralia had bond set at $7,500 after being charged with unlawful violation of an order of protection and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
44-year-old Kevin Berry of Kent Street in Centralia had bond set at $5,000 after allegedly slapping and punching his wife Carrie Berry following an incident late last year.
