Fire Destroys Truck Cab Northwest of SalemState Police are investigating a fire that destroyed the cab of a utility truck owned by Goff Plumbing of Salem.
A passerby found the truck engulfed in flames in a ditch near the Hoots Chapel and Tonti Road intersection northwest of Salem around ten Sunday night. Salem Fire Protection District Firemen were called to put out the fire. No cause of the fire is currently listed on reports.
Initial information indicates no one had permission to have the truck and it may have been stolen before being left in the roadside ditch. There was no one around the vehicle at the time emergency crews arrived.
