Federal Court Rules for Highland Couple in ACA Contraception Suit(Chicago, IL) -- A federal appeals court in Chicago is telling the U.S. government that it cannot enforce a provision of the Affordable Care Act in the case of a general contractor from Highland. The 7th U.S. Court of Appeals voted 2-to-1 to block the government from requiring Cyril and Jane Korte to pay for contraceptives as mandated by the federal health law. The Kortes said the provision violated their faith, and the court agreed, issuing a temporary injuction against enforcement.
