Dick Hanks won the award for Best Horse and Buggy. He is followed by Best Youth Horse and Rider Dakota Murphy.
Farina 4th of July Parade Draws 61 EntriesA group of South Central High School students who played a tune from garbage cans on their float entitled 'South Central Can Gang' took top float honors in Farina's 4th of July parade.
The award was one of eight awarded to those entered in the parade. Andy Sapp and Tom Nater won best golf cart, ATV or Bike. In the horse division, Dick Hanks won for Best Horse and Buggy, Terri Kramer for Best Horse and Rider and Dakota Murphy for Best Youth Horse and Rider. Robert and June Roholl won the award for Best Antique Car, Marlon Hanks for Best Antique Truck and J.D. Veteto for Best Antique Tractor.
A total of 61 entries made up this year's parade which started a night of activities in the Farina Park.
