Dix Man Arrested For Driving Under Influence Of Drugs Following WreckCentralia Police say a 28-year-old Dix man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs following an early Thursday evening crash on the Walnut Hill Road just east of Lincoln Street.
Police reports indicate Aaron Brink of North Jackson in Dix was traveling westbound on Walnut Hill Road when he began going in and out of consciousness. His car eventually ran off the side of the road into the ditch. Brink was able to stop the vehicle before he became unconscious.
Police say they found a needle and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Damage to the car was reported to be minor and confined to the lower portion of the front bumper. Brink was taken to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of injuries.
