Clay County Man Arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Friday
A Clay County was arrested Friday evening on aggravated discharge of a firearm charges. The Illinois State Police and the Clay County Sheriff's Department responded to Ridge Road in northwestern Clay County at 5:20 p.m. after receiving a report of someone firing a shotgun. Officers found that 39-year-old Daniel Lee Cornwell of rural Hord had fired a shotgun during an altercation. Cornwell fled the scene on foot and was later arrested by State Police around 8:20 p.m. He was taken to the Clay County Jail and more charges are pending against him.See other LocalNews news:
