Centralia to Set Speed Limits, Poker Run RulesThe Centralia City Council will meet Monday night over a lean agenda, where they are expected to pass an ordinance regulating "Poker Run" style fundraising events.
At a previous meeting, Councilman David Sauer was concerned that the city was over regulating by charging a fee for poker run events, and asked for the ordinance to be tabled to add a provision allowing the city administration to waive the fee. The council is expected to pass a final version of that ordinance, with the provision attached, during Monday night's meeting.
According to the agenda released Friday, the council will also consider setting a speed limit in the Holiday Terrace Subdivision and amend the city's zoning, subdivision, and sign ordinances.
