Centralia Woman Arrested for Breaking Windshields Out of Cars

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 34-year-old Centralia woman is being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged felony criminal damage to property.

Patricia Shaffer of DeAnne Drive is accused of using a ball bat to break out the windshields on two vehicles parked at the William Snell home on South Cherry Street in Centralia Friday afternoon.

Centralia Police reports indicate Shaffer apparently first went to the home to talk to Snell's wife.  When told she was asleep, Shaffer allegedly began banging on the house to wake her up.  A short time later, another family member looked out when hearing a 'bang' and Shaffer allegedly breaking out the windshields in cars owned by William Snell and daughter Kelsey Snell of South Park in Central City.
