Centralia Woman Arrested for Alleged Residential Burglary and Criminal Damage to PropertyA 22-year-old Centralia woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing copper piping and causing other damage to her apartment when moving out.
Amber Flippen of North Elm is being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged residential burglary, criminal damage to property and on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant.
Centralia Police say Ronald Dall, the owner of the apartment building in the 11-hundred block of South Hickory, reported damage totalled several thousand dollars. He initially found the basement of the home flooded. After the water was removed, Dall discovered the hot water heater had been disconnected and the copper piping in the basement had all been cut out. In addition, Dall reported the cords on six appliances and two lamps had been cut off. Several electric motors in the basement were missing.
Centralia Police are continuing their investigation of the case.
