Centralia Store Clerk Charged with TheftA clerk at a Centralia convenience store has been charged with misdemeanor theft from the store.
Marion County Assistant State's Attorney Melissa Doran says 43-year-old Michael Neff of North Morrisson Street in Central City was charged after video surveillance at the RollNUp Convenience Store at 320 East Noleman showed him voiding sales and taking the cash. He's accused of taking $110 in currency between August 1st and 4th. Doran says the video surveillance was reviewed after inventory in the store did not match sales.
Bond for Neff was set at $5,000. The Public Defender was appointed to represent him.
