Centralia Man Injured in Wednesday Night CrashA 61-year-old Centralia man was injured in a two vehicle crash at Second and Elm Street in Centralia Wednesday night.
Centralia Police say Lee Roper was traveling west on Second Street when a car driven by 44-year-old Monica Juds of South Locust in Centralia ran a red light and struck his pickup truck. The impact of the crash caused a wheel to fly out of the back of Roper's truck. It hit a concrete plant holder at the Styninger Pacey Funeral Home, causing it to break.
Roper was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia for treatment. Juds escaped injury, but was ticketed for failure to obey a traffic control device. The wreck occurred at 7:10 Wednesday night.
