Centralia Man Injured In Junction City Motorcycle Crash

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 43-year-old Centralia man was injured Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed on Madison Street near Ninth Street in Junction City.

Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say John Felty of Green Street Road was traveling northbound on Madison when he lost control of his bike and it laid down on the road. Felty then slid along the pavement. He was initially transferred to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia and later air lifted to a St. Louis Hospital. He is believed to have suffered head injuries as well as road rash.

Deputies say no other vehicle was involved and Felty was alone on the bike.
