Centralia Woman Hurt in Two Vehicle CrashA 73-year-old Centralia woman was injured in a two vehicle crash at Noleman and Poplar Streets in downtown Centralia at noon Saturday. Centralia Police say Bonnie Cates of North Elm struck a car driven by 25-year-old Kevin Schaubert of Diamond Springs Road in Shattuc after he ran a red light.
Cates was taken to St. Mary's Hospital. Schaubert refused hospital treatment for minor injuries. He was ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device. The Centralia Fire Department was called to the scene to assist the two drivers until ambulance crews arrived.
