Centralia City Wide Fall Cleanup Scheduled for First Full Week of OctoberThe City of Centralia will hold their Fall Cleanup the week of October 8th through October 12th. Due to the City being closed on Monday, October 8th, curbside pickup will be from October 9th to October 15th with the city picking up items that are placed curbside on a resident's normal trash day. All items for pickup must be placed curbside before 6 a.m. the day of the pickup. Residents are asked not to place items out in advance. Only items five foot long or shorter and weighing 50 pounds or less will be collected.
Items that will not be picked up include yard waste, household refuge or garbage that should be put out for normal collection, large quantities of rock, concrete, and construction materials, large appliances, tires or cans of paint, large automobile parts, lawnmowers or small engines that contain gasoline or oil, and items with garbage or trash mixed in. The city is still accepting white goods such as freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, etc.
All routes will be covered only once with no exceptions. The service is being provided by the City of Centralia and is requesting each resident's cooperation in the cleanup.
