Central City Man Sentenced To Three Years In Prison For Stalking

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 25-year-old Central City man has been sentenced to three years in prison for his earlier conviction on a stalking charge.

Mitchell Finley of South Marion was found guilty in a bench trial last month for stalking a former girlfriend Casey Middleton. She had told Judge Michael McHaney during the bench trial that Finley had stalked her for about a month before he was arrested on August 7th of last year for allegedly making contact and later threats against both Middleton and her mother Chris Lensford.

Finley had agreed to waive a jury trial in the case for the prosecution agreeing to seek no more than a three year prison term. Once released from prison, Finley will have to complete four years of mandatory supervised release and pay court costs.
