Central City Man Injured In One Car Crash North of SandovalA 73-year-old Central City man was injured in a one car wreck on U.S. 51 north of Sandoval late Saturday afternoon.
Marion County Sheriff's officials say John Prior of North Morrison Street apparently fell asleep while he was driving north of the Range Road about two miles north of Sandoval. His car first struck a culvert and then overturned at least one time before coming to rest on its wheels in the ditch of the roadway.
Prior was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia for treatment. There was no one else in the car.
The wreck occurred at 4:06 Saturday afternoon.
