By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 26-year-old Central City man is being held in the Marion County Jail on multiple drug charges after being arrested during a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

Centralia Police say Kevin Newcomb of North Harrison was arrested for possession of heroin and methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on an outstanding Marion County felony warrant. Police report he was a passenger in the car. Newcomb was asked to get out of the vehicle as he appeared to be trying to hide something.

The driver of the car was also arrested. 20-year-old Nathan Hale of South Locust in Centralia was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant.
