A Central City man was arrested Wednesday by the Illinois State Police for selling alcohol to a minor.  Randal Etheridge, an employee of Bears Liquor at 114 W. Green in Central City was arrested for Unlawful Delivery of Alcoholic Liquor to a Minor.  He was released on a notice to appear in court.

State Police conducted alcohol countermeasure enforcement (ACE) surveillance and 33-locations in Marion County Wednesday evening.  The purpose of these ACE details is to determine which businesses may be selling alcoholic beverages to minors (persons under 21 years of age).  Businesses surveyed were located in Sandoval, Central City and Centralia.

The Illinois State police commends establishments which do not sell alcohol to minors.  This project was funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
