By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

The Beard Road on the Clay-Marion County Line will be closed for about two months for a bridge replacement project.

The bridge is approximately 1.5 miles north of U.S. 50.  The work is expected to begin on Wednesday May first.  The contractor for the project is Depew and Owen Builders Incorporated from Centralia.  The Beard Road will be closed to through traffic during the entire construction period.

Motorists are asked to find alternative routes and to observe signs and barricades to insure their own safety and that of the workmen.
