Bandit On All-Terrain Vehicle Steals Cash from ATM
MARYVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Police in the Metro-East say a man driving an all-terrain vehicle stole cash from an ATM as two workers were servicing the machine.
Authorities say the bandit ordered the two workers to get out of the way and then made off with canisters containing an undisclosed amount of money. They say the suspect fled in the ATV. The man did not display a weapon and was wearing camouflage and goggles.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that police later found an ATV behind a nearby residence. They're still searching for the suspect.
