BCMW Announces 2014 Illinois Home Energy Assistance ProgramThe Bond, Clinton, Marion, and Washington or BCMW Community Services organization have announced their 2014 Illinois Home Energy Assistance Program.
The organization will begin making appointments for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program starting on Tuesday, September 3rd. Only households with persons 60 or over or households with someone currently receiving disability are eligible to receive an appointment at this time. However, beginning October 1st, appointments will be made for households with children under the age of 5 or who are currently disconnected or at or below 25% on their propane or fuel oil may set up appointments. All other households may begin contacting BCMW for appointments starting November 1st.
Eligibility for the program is determined by providing 30 day proof of household income and a utility bill in an adult household member's name. Even if utilities are included in rent, you may still qualify for assistance.
30 day income guidelines based on number in household are as follows:
1 Member - $1,436
2 Members - $1,939
3 Members - $2,441
4 Members - $2,944
5 Members - $3,446
6 Members - $3,949
7 Members - $4,451
8 Members - $4,954
