Armed Robbery of Nashville Savings Bank Remains Under Investigation

Washington County Sheriff's Department officials say a man who held up Nashville Savings Bank late Saturday morning remains at large.

Police are seeking a 6 foot to 6 foot two inch tall white male in his early 30's with an athletic build and unshaven look.  The man reportedly displayed a semi automatic handgun in the bank and then fled westbound on foot towards the intersection of East Adams and South Kaskaskia.  He was reportedly wearing a dark gray hooded sweat shirt, black and blue ball cap, black exercise pants and a light blue T-shirt.

There were no injuries.  Police are not saying if any money was stolen.

Nashville Police responded to the call along with State Police, the Washington County Sheriff's Department and Okawville Police at 11:24 Saturday morning.

Anyone who saw a person running or entering a vehicle in the area is asked to contact Nashville Police at 327-82-32.
