Ameren Customers Receiving Switch Letters

By WJBD News

Some Ameren Electric customers in the area are beginning to receive notices from the company informing them that their electric supplier is switching to Homefield Energy.  In April, voters opted to allow their communities to negotiate lower electric rates.  Managing Partner of Affordable Gas & Electric, Jeff Haarmann, says the letters are just the formal notification of the switch.  He says customers who wish to make the switch do not have to do anything with the notification.

The letters are being sent to Ameren customers in Mt. Vernon, Dix, Belle Rive, Bluford, Bonnie, Ina, Waltonville, Woodlawn, Washington County, Nashville, Okawville, Ashley, New Minden, Oakdale, Sandoval, Junction City, Central City, Patoka, Iuka, Odin, Kinmundy, Lawrenceville, Grayville, Crossville, Dahlgren, Watson, St. Elmo and Brownstown.  Questions regarding this notification can be directed to Homefield Energy at 866-694-1262.
