Alma Home Receives Minor Damage in Tuesday Morning FireA fire centered around a pipe leading from a wood stove caused minor damage to a rural Alma home early Tuesday morning.
Kinmundy-Alma Fire Chief Kevin Day says the Steven Beck family of the Hicks Road was woke up by a smoke detector and discovered the fire. Flames were quickly doused and contained to a small area around one wall. There was minor smoke damage throughout the home.
Firemen were on the scene for about an hour, starting at two Tuesday morning.
