28-Year-Old Man Being Sought Out for Involvement in Two CrashesThe Marion County Sheriff's Department is seeking the publics help in locating a 28-year-old Salem man who is now believed to have left the scene of two accidents within the past two weeks. The latest wreck occurred early Sunday morning when deputies believe Kevin Simon of West Whitaker Street was driving a vehicle owned by one of the passengers in the car. The vehicle ran off the Red Stripe Road west of Farthing Road and crashed into the roadside ditch and a culvert.
Simon reportedly left the scene on foot. The two passengers, who stayed at the accident scene around five Sunday morning, were not injured.
Simon is also believed to be the driver of a pickup truck that ran off the 27-hundred block of Church Road into the roadside ditch on November 23rd. A passenger, 29-year-old Eric Childers of Church Road, was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of facial injuries and was later released. Deputies say the pickup owned by Simon did not sustain any damage in the crash.
