Study: If You Watch a Lot of TV, Your Kid Likely Will Too
(NEW YORK) -- If you're wondering why your kid watches so much television, you may want to take a look at your own TV habits.
Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania say how much TV mom and dad watch is the best predictor of the amount of time kids will spend in front of the tube.
On average, the study finds, children under 17 watch about three hours of TV a day; parents watch about an hour more.
If you want your kids to watch less television, the study says to adjust your own habits first.
