Shakira Launches Online 'Baby Shower' to Raise Money for UNICEF

VALERY HACHE/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The very pregnant Shakira and her baby daddy, soccer player Gerard Piqué, are using the impending birth of their child as a way to raise money for UNICEF.

The soon-to-be Voice coach has launched a virtual “baby shower” that encourages visitors to donate money that will go towards providing food, vaccines or other necessities to babies in need around the world.

Fans who raise awareness of the “baby shower” are eligible for prizes such as autographed Shakira CDs and DVDs.

Shakira has also tweeted a recent picture of herself with Piqué that showcases her expanded belly.
