New Comedy "1600 Penn" Debuts Thursday Night
(NEW YORK) -- Bill Pullman played the U.S. president in the 1996 Will Smith blockbuster Independence Day. He's now portraying the commander-in-chief again, only this time for a new comedy debuting Thursday night on NBC.
Pullman plays President Dale Gilchrist on 1600 Penn, which chronicles the lives of his character's wacky family in the White House. The clan includes his second wife, Emily, played by Jenna Elfman, and his four children, including a pregnant daughter.
1600 Penn airs at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time.
