Michael Clarke Duncan's Family Wants Omarosa Investigated
(LOS ANGELES) -- The family of the late actor Michael Clarke Duncan wants his former fiancée, Omarosa Manigault, investigated to determine if she unduly influenced The Green Mile actor to change his will to benefit her.
TMZ reports Duncan's sister Judy has hired a lawyer to investigate the circumstances of why the actor's will was changed in April 2012, months before he died. The change made the Celebrity Apprentice star the main beneficiary. Duncan died in September 2012 at the age of 54.
Judy Duncan claims her brother was not of sound mind when changes were made to his will. She tells TMZ that as early as December 2011, her brother was not himself and was slurring his words. Judy says Manigault was obsessed with the actor's money when he was on life support following his heart attack.
Judy also claims Manigault sold several items from the late actor's personal effects, including cars, watches, awards and a chair he used on the set of The Green Mile, without the family's knowledge.
In response, the reality diva told TMZ, "I don't control the estate or the finances and Judy knows it. If you saw all of her emails and texts to me you would see that she is just trying to get money from me, and threatened going to press if I did not give it to her and that is a crime!"
Judy reportedly received $100,000 from her late brother's will.
Judy's claims that Manigault was obsessed with the late actor's money echo previous statements from Apprentice co-star Claudia Jordan that the reality star was bragging about her late fiancé's money.
"Omarosa told myself, Brande [Roderick], LaToya [Jackson], several of us that she had access to some of the money from the charity that Michael Clarke Duncan had and if she needed it she would use it," Jordan said on The Wendy Williams Show last month. "This is what she told me."
