Kris Jenner Is Ready to Talk
(NEW YORK) -- Kris Jenner fiddled with the buckle on one of her t-strap Valentino stilettos with a price tag of $1,195, realizing that it was officially broken. "Don't worry, Valentino will fix them," she said with a wave of her hand.
Perks like this are standard for the machine behind the very successful Kardashian empire, one that includes the popular TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, produced by her own production company, Jenner Communications; managing her husband, Olympian Bruce Jenner; and her six kids -- Kourtney, Kim and Rob Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian Odom, and Kendall and Kylie Jenner -- all of whom have their own TV shows, endorsement deals and companies.
Now, the mother of six and grandmother of three is launching her own talk show, Kris. Kris says the one-hour talk show will be pop culture and lifestyle centric, telling ABC News Radio, it'll be "a show about fashion and beauty and fitness and health and skincare and cooking and food and sex a little bit; just a little bit of everything."
"I want to be a show that also is inspirational and that might even empower people, and women, to be the best that they can be," she adds.
Kris will be joined daily by a different co-host, from Joan Rivers, Kathie Lee Gifford and NeNe Leakes to Tom Bergeron, Diddy and Ryan Seacrest, who produces Keeping Up With the Kardashians as well.
The New York Times bestselling author refused to compare her talk show to the daytime greats, such as Oprah Winfrey or Ellen Degeneres, but she did say Kris wouldn't be a show focused on celebrity gossip, especially since her daughters are often on the receiving end of that coverage.
"I'm a curious interviewer," Kris says of her style. "I want to know everything too, but it doesn't necessarily need to be stuff that is ridiculous."
Although she's laser-focused on this new talk show, don't think Kris is giving up her time in front of reality show cameras anytime soon. Keeping Up With the Kardashians began filming its eighth season in February.
"I get to get up everyday and work with my kids so it doesn't get any better than that for me," Kris says of the reality TV show. "So, no, I don't see [giving up the show] unless people don't want to watch Kardashians any more...or the day that it doesn't become fun for us."
And fans in 150 countries are tuned in, especially this season, which detailed the pregnancy of Kim Kardashian, who recently had her first child, North, with rapper Kanye West.
Kris says "it's hard to tell" who the newborn resembles at mere weeks old, but she enjoys being a grandmother of three, telling ABC News Radio, "you get to have all the fun and then give them back for the discipline."
Kris will premiere on select Fox stations on Monday, July 15.
