Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor in "Man of Steel" Sequel?
(LOS ANGELES) -- Days after the news that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, word on Monday is that Bryan Cranston could star as Lex Luthor in the next Superman film.
CosmicBookNews.com is claiming that Cranston has been cast as Superman's nemesis for the Man of Steel follow-up, and that an official announcement will come after Cranston's AMC series, Breaking Bad, concludes its final season next month.
Cranston reportedly signed a deal that will allow him to appear in six to 10 DC Comics-related films as Lex Luthor.
Furthermore, CosmicBookNews is reporting a rumor that Affleck's deal calls for him to appear in as many as 13 movies as Batman -- bad news for those fans who've complained about the casting choice on Twitter since the announcement was made Thursday night.
The website also claims that DC is interested in signing Affleck's best friend, Matt Damon, to play Aquaman or Martian Manhunter for the much-discussed Justice League movie.
