Britney Spears Thanks Zoe Saldana for Standing Up for Her During TV Appearance
(NEW YORK) -- Britney Spears has tweeted her appreciation for Zoe Saldana -- not because her former Crossroads co-star appears in the number-one movie in the country, Guardians of the Galaxy, but because the actress defended her during a recent TV appearance.
Last week on the Bravo talk show Watch What Happens Live, Saldana was asked by a caller whether she'd heard the non-AutoTuned vocal track from Britney's song "Alien," for which the pop star was criticized after it leaked last month.
Saldana responded, "Well, that's mean because I'm pretty sure that 80 percent of our musical artists would be mortified if they were caught singing without Auto-Tune."
Saldana added, "I have a huge amount of respect for Britney Spears."
Britney reached out to Saldana on Twitter this week, writing, "Truly the sweetest, thx 4 the kind words. Nothing but great memories of working w u."
Brit also posted a GIF image of a scene from Crossroads, and suggested, "Crossroads pt 2? ;)"
