Bill Cosby Developing New Family Sitcom
(NEW YORK) -- Bill Cosby is developing a new family sitcom for NBC, a source tells ABC News Radio.
According to the source, the 76-year-old comedian is in the early stages of developing a TV comedy centered around a multi-generational family, where Cosby would portray the patriarch.
According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Cosby has teamed up with Tom Werner again to develop the show. Werner's company Marcy Carsey produced The Cosby Show, which aired from 1984 to 1992 on NBC, and CBS' Cosby, which ran from 1996-2000.
Although the source added that the show is not guaranteed to air, the Peacock Network has already secured writers to develop ideas for the potential series.
