"Sleepy Hollow" Renewed for Second Season
(NEW YORK) -- Sleepy Hollow on Fox has earned the honor of being the first new show of the fall season to be renewed. Fox says the new twist on the Washington Irving short story gave the network its best drama debut since 24 in 2001.
Fox says counting Internet streams, the debut episode had an audience of more than 22 million.
The pickup comes just three episodes into the 13-episode season.
On the other side of the coin, there are several new shows that are struggling in the ratings and facing cancelation. Industry observers note ABC's lottery drama Lucky 7 is on life support, as are the parent comedies Dads on Fox and Mom on CBS.
