Salem Police Solve Roberts Park Playground Equipment Fire

Salem Police say they have found those responsible for starting the fire that heavily damaged the playground unit in Roberts Park on North Ohio Street last Friday night.  

Stolen Jeep In Centralia Hits Bicyclist and Parked Car Before Being Abandoned

Centralia Police are looking for the person who took a Jeep and was allegedly involved in separate hit and run accidents with a bicyclist and a car, and then abandoned the stolen vehicle.   

Marion County and State Deer Harvest Numbers Up for 1st Shotgun Season

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources reports 1,090 deer were harvested last Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  That compares to 979 in 2014.
