The Centralia Parade Committee has officially named a Grand Marshall for this year's Halloween Parade - Two of them, to be precise.
Dick Carpenter and David Agee will serve as Co-Grand Marshalls for the event on Saturday, October 30th. Carpenter recently retired from Centralia High School, where he has coached sports since 1966, including baseball, football and wrestling. Agee is a branch manager for Raymond James Financial Services and is also a trustee of the Centralia Foundation and Carillon Bell Foundation. Both said it was an honor to serve with one another as Co-Grand Marshalls.
They'll also have plenty to preside over. One of the Parade Committee members, Butch Mathis, says over 150 entry applications have been requested for the parade and he expects this year's parade to be larger than last - numbering over 130 entries. There's still time to apply for both entries and vendor positions and you can now do it online. Visit centraliahpff.org to download the forms and check out more information!
