Kaskaskia College will be holding its Eighth Annual "Enduring Freedom Celebration" on Thursday, November 12th.

The celebration will honor Veterans from all conflicts and from all over the area. The program begins with a breakfast at the KC Student Center from 7:30 to 9:15 for all area veterans, spouses, dependents and spouses of deceased veterans. A program will follow in the Jane Knight Auditorium at 9:40.

Travis Henson with Kaskaskia College says this year's program will feature a number of distinguished veterans, including WWII Veteran and Bronze Star winner Rheinhard Knoloff, and WWII Navy Deck Gunner Joe Seeburger. Some other veterans speaking include Earl Miller and Jim Wham, as well as KC President Dr. Jim Underwood.

The event is viewed as a time for veterans to reconnect with each other and the community to communicate their thanks for the sacrifices given by many.
