The Illinois State Police and Department of Natural Resources will be holding their annual open range program in mid-November.
On November 14th, ISP firing ranges will allow hunters to sight and test fire their shotguns in a safe environment for the upcoming deer hunting season. One of the ranges participating in the program is district 12 in Effingham. Targets will be provided and there is no charge for use of the range. All participants must possess a valid Firearm Owner's Identification Card and transport the weapon properly.
